TaylorMade

Since Taylormade started the technology revolution with the first metalwood, the golf industry has never been the same. Early TaylorMade models were the TaylorMade Tour Burner and the Burner Bubble drivers, then came the 300 and 200 Series woods and Taylormade irons and Rossa Putters, then the R7 along with r7 460 TP Woods, R5 Woods, R5 Quad 425, RAC TP Mp, r7 XD Irons, LT2 Irons, 0s2 Irons, TP2 Irons, r7 XD Irons.

News: 1400, 17 July 2011: With his R11 Taylormade Driver in hand, PGA Tour Star, Darren Clarke strolled off towards the 18th tee assured of a championship at The Open Championship, marking a couple first on the tour; his first Open Championship, as well as the first Major win for the R11 Taylormade Driver, the Penta TP golf balls, and the Tour Preferred MB Irons. Placing Taylormade golf clubs once again in the PGA’s spotlight, they have made a name for themselves with 32 worldwide driver wins, nine of which were in PGA tournaments, the #1 played club dwarfing their competition by over 3000+ players using Taylormade drivers.

Taylormade Drivers

Whereas Taylormade has long been known for leading the industry with the innovation used throughout their club design, their current two drivers, the R11 and the Burner Superfast 2.0 are among the leaders in producing long, straight and accurate drives.

The beauty of the R11 is its design allows you to “tune it in” to your specific game and driving needs. Offering three adjustable dimensions of the club you can adjust to your game, the loft within a full degree up or down, face angle from two degrees open to two degrees closed, and movable weights to allow for a neutral flight path to more of a draw, the R11 is like nothing the game has ever seen before. In addition, being able to customize the R11 to your specific needs will allow you to hit the ball farther, straighter, and with more pinpoint accuracy than you ever have in the past.

Taking a different spin on innovative driver technology, designing the Burner Superfast 2.0 as the lightest Taylormade Driver on the market with an increased surface space allows you to launch the ball higher without increasing spin. This is the perfect equation for long, straight drives; and when you’re looking down those big Par 4s and 5s, long and straight is definitely what you want.

Taylormade Metal Woods

Taking their cue from the drivers they develop, Taylormade Woods are also among the best in class offering their woods in the R11 and Burner Superfast 2.0 Fairway woods as well. The R11 is played by Tour Pros such as Justin Rose and Robert Garrigus, and the Burner line is played by Pat Perez and Camilo Villegas.

Although the R11 does not offer all three levels of adjustability that the R11 driver offers, you still have the ability to alter the loft and face angle crafting shots to your specific fairway game. These changes can alter the side-to- side trajectory of your fairway shots up to 60 yards, and increase up to 1000 RPM of backspin you can place on the ball. Each of these options will allow you to craft your fairway game exclusively to your needs.

The Burner Superfast 2.0 fairway woods also feature lower club weights than ever before seen from Taylormade Woods as well as increased clubface surface areas for maximum impact down up the fairway. Because of the lighter overall weight and precision design, these fairway woods allow for lower impacts, letting you hit longer, more accurate fairway shots with every swing.

Taylormade Irons

As previously mentioned, Taylormade Irons were in the bag of Darren Clark helping him recently win The Open Championship. There are a variety of different iron designs Taylormade offers today, but a couple of the hottest selling, top performing designs are the Tour Preferred MB Irons and the Burner 2.0 Irons. Both designs are precision-built with technology in mind, and both have a solid record of top finishes on The Tour.

The MB stands for Muscle Back, and that is exactly what these irons are. Designed with blade purists in mind, these forged irons, are built with the design that has minimal offset and a compacted shape. In addition, Taylormade’s Precision Weighting Port allows you the ability to have an optimal center of gravity location on each club head by utilizing precision swing weights. All of these innovations come together to bring pinpoint accuracy and overall power together.

The Burner 2.0 Irons continue to take their design and overall performance from the Drivers and Fairway Woods that share their series name. Adding a thinner, yet larger club face to the Burner 2.0 Series Irons along with a progressive weight distribution design, the Burner 2.0 Irons are leading the Tour in cutting edge design and performance. In addition, the Burner 2.0 Irons have been designed to produce a specific sound when properly struck to allow you an audible cue alerting you the proper iron shot has been hit.

Taylormade Wedges

Keeping in mind that wedges, like any other club can wear down overtime, Taylormade has designed their TP Wedge with XFT the with the ability to change out wedge faces as the grooves of the wedge wear down. This not only ensures the Spin rate continues to remain high as new wedge faces are installed, but the launch angle of each wedge will remain low. Both a high spin rate and a low launch angle are two things you will want for precision approach shots around the green.

In addition to being able to change out wedge faces with the TP Wedge with XFT, backed by the ultrathin urethane layer behind each wedge face, each shot will have a super soft feel and sound when implementing short-range finesse shots.

The Burner 2.0 Wedge was also designed to help eliminate inconsistent distance gaps in the wedges you use by ensuring each of their Taylormade wedges from their Burner 2.0 Lob Wedge to their Burner 2.0 Pitching Wedge are set apart equally. This allows you to take more confident approach shots from 125 yards in with confidence.

Not only that, but the Burner 2.0 Wedges are designed with recessed heel and toe designs for each club head to reduce overall drag in your swing and follow through. In addition, the penetrating raised sole also offers more playability throughout your round. Finally along the back of the club, the sole is beveled providing a deep center of gravity for an easy launch.

Taylormade Putters

Once you have gotten to the green in regulation with your Taylormade golf clubs , the final bit of Taylormade weaponry you can rely on to take you home is their line of Taylormade putters . Hitting the tour this year in the hands of Pros like Dave Stockton and Jason Day, the Taylormade Ghost Spider Putter is among the most accurate on the tour. With its movable weight technology, ability to easily square up to the ball, and it’s pure roll insert, you will be sinking more putts than your competition in no time. Furthermore, it’s space-aged design makes it far easier to line up your putts regardless of distance, and being truly balanced due to its perimeter weight allows for smooth control from start to finish on any putt. If you need more reasons why the Taylormade Ghost Spider is the putter to go with, it also posted the lowest total score ever by an Augusta first-timer in 2011 proving it is as versatile as it is efficient.

In addition to the Taylormade Ghost Spider putter, Taylormade also offers their Corza Ghost Putter. With a white finish and dark lines, this putter also allows you to line up any put quickly and easily. The Corza Ghost Putter as also amassed a number of Tour victories over the past few years as well, making it one of the most respected putters on the Tour today. The Corza is a mallet design, with a lighter weight than most. This allows for a very smooth follow through, but when partnered with Taylormade’s Pure Roll titanium insert, it also has the power you need for those longer putts of the day. Not only is the Taylormade Corza Ghost Putter a truly phenomenal putter, it has also been voted to Golf Digest’s 2011 Hot List for Mallet Putters.

Ultimately, Taylormade has been on the PGA Tour for decades racking up championships, and moving the game as a whole to an entirely different level. The science and innovative design that goes into developing each new line of the Taylormade family that comes off the line only continues to push golf and those who play it to be their very best. With a long history of Tour championships, improved overall scores, and best in class performance, there is no reason to believe Taylormade will not be around for many decades to come continuing to find similar success.
