The USGA Golf Handicap SystemTM is the US Standard for golf handicaps. You can get a handicap through a variety of clubs and golf organizations.

Many golf tournaments at clubs or in local associations have what is called gross and net divisions. The gross score is the actual scores incurred. Net scores are the strokes take less the applicable golf handicap or a percentage thereof. Check with your PGA professional or tournament organizer to understand how they are going to create net scores in your next tournament.

So what do you think is the average golf handicap of people playing the game?
