R&A

The R&A (Royal&Ancient) is golf's rules and development organization.

The R&A derives its name from The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, Scotland.

The R&A also runs The Open Championship, to many known as the British Open Championship as well as nine other tournaments and matches.

In conjunction with the United States Golf Association (USGA), the R&A develops the rules for the game and interprets rulings.
