Natalie Gulbis has improved her golf game every year. Look at her statistics. Her driving accuracy and greens in regulation are very good. However you have to be over 70% in both and on the LPGA tour, there are a lot more players who have similar averages.
The last couple years Natalie Gulbis has made a lot more birdies, this has helped her move up the leaderboards and earnings, and she finally broke through with her first LPGA victory, the 2007 Evian Masters with a score of 72-69-73-70=284 (-4).
Most putting statistics provide a number for putts per green in regulation, such as 1.78; however, this does not take into account how many times she makes par when missing a green. Natalie's sand saves are very poor, which points out a weakness in her game and its most likely that her chipping is probably a bit weak as well. Saving a par or bogey at the right time is most likely what is keeping Natalie Gulbis out of the winners circle.
In early 2008, Natalie's stats are off in all areas; birdies, greens in regulation and rounds under par. What's up Nat?
What do you think about Natalie Gulbis' game?
We wish the LPGA had a tournament in the Dallas Fort Worth area so we could meet her; because like Jan Stephenson of yesteryear, Natalie Gulbis is Smokin'!
Here's to wishing Natalie gets her next win!
