Callaway Golf has been one of the top golf club manufacturers in the world for some time now. They produce high quality equipment, apparel, and accessories for golfers of all abilities. Once known as a company that just made drivers and fairway woods, Callaway irons have recently become the most popular brand in the world. From drivers to putters and everything in between, Callaway golf has you covered.

There are many different types of Callaway golf clubs including woods, irons, wedges, and putters. They also produce golf balls, clubs, bags, and clothing. The company produces high quality products known to last for years. Callaway golf clubs can be found in the bags of the best professionals in the world including those on the PGA, European, Senior, and LPGA Tours.

Woods

For the longest time Callaway golf was known for producing the biggest and best drivers in the game. The original Callaway Big Bertha drivers were ground breaking clubs that led to great advancement in golf club technology. There are many different models of Callaway woods including the RAZR Hawk, FT-iZ, FT Tour, and Diablo. Each of these Callaway drivers have specific qualities that tailor them to golfers of all abilities.

The RAZR Hawk driver uses a weighting system that allows players to choose between neutral and draw settings. The draw setting will be a great help to those who constantly fight a slice on the golf course.

The FT-iZ uses a revolutionary club-head design to help increase accuracy and distance even on poorly struck shots. This is a great driver for the higher handicap player as it is designed for those who have great inconsistencies in their games.

The FT Tour combines the benefits of the FT-iZ while being more playable for those who shoot lower scores. This driver is used by many of the professional golfers Callaway sponsors. The FT Tour does not have quite the same look as the FT-iZ making it more attractive to those who like a conventional driver look.

The Diablo Octane is Callaway's most popular driver on professional tours. The club-head is made of a forged composite that is lighter and stronger than drivers made purely of titanium. This allows for both faster club-head speed as well as superior weighting to improve on off-center hits. The driver also comes in a tour version that is ever so slightly smaller and has a deeper face for more feel and workability.

Callaway also produces fairway woods in many of the same versions as their drivers. The RAZR Hawk, FT-iZ, and Diablo Octane fairway woods all use the same qualities of their drivers in smaller club-heads with varying lofts. Players will find a three, five, or seven wood in the RAZR Hawk model while the FT-iZ and Diablo Octane models contain the same clubs as well as a nine wood. These higher-lofted Callaway woods are great for those who have slower swings speed and as such have trouble getting the ball airborne off the ground.

Irons

While Callaway made a name for itself making drivers, it has recently become the most popular iron manufacturer in the world as well. Callaway irons are known for their forgiveness, making the game much easier for those who have trouble hitting the middle of the clubface consistently. They have also started making irons for better players including the RAZR X Muscleback and RAZR X Forged irons. Those with higher handicaps should look into the RAZR X and Diablo series irons.

The RAZR X Irons are a forgiving club with a large cavity. This cavity takes weight from directly behind the center of the clubface and disperses it across the entire clubhead. Were a player to hit a shot on the heel or toe of the club they will not lose nearly the distance or accuracy they might with a muscleback or blade iron.

The Diablo Forged and Diablo Edge irons are not only forgiving but they employ the same composite as the Diablo drivers making them some of the longest irons on the market. With a larger sole, lower center of gravity, and bigger sweet spot these are great game-improvement irons.

Players who like more feel and workability from an iron should look into the RAZR X Muscleback, forged, or tour irons. All three of these sets are meant for better players who like a traditional look in their Callaway irons . The RAZR X Muscleback irons are used many of Callaway 's sponsored professionals including Stuart Appleby, Alvaro Quiros, and Masters winner Trevor Immelman. With the majority of the weight directly behind the center of the clubface these irons allow players to shape shots in any direction.

Wedges

Much like their irons, Callaway Golf did not begin producing high quality wedges until just a few years ago. The company sought out help from one of the world's best wedge makers in Roger Cleveland who quickly went to work improving their quality, design, options, and overall performance. The Callaway X Series wedges use the Tour CC Grooves designed by Cleveland that allow for greater spin from all types of lies. Even from deep rough these wedges will provide the spin to help shots land softly on the green.

There are multiple ways to customize the X Series wedges including shaft options, finish, and clubhead specifications. Players can choose from a brushed chrome finish or a slate that is like many of the gunmetal finishes one sees from other club manufacturers. The slate finish helps to reduce glare and can also rust to produce even more spin and feel around the green. The Callaway wedges come in a wide array of bounce and loft combos making it easy to customize two, three, or even four to your game.

Putters

Odyssey Golf is the main manufacturer of Callaway putters . Known as the #1 putter in golf, Odyssey, along with Callaway golf, offers many different makes and models of their popular "White Hot" putters. Since joining forces, these two companies have built some of the most innovative putter designs including the two-ball putter.

There are so many Callaway putters it can be a bit difficult to choose the best one for your game. Besides the two-ball design Odyssey also produces many different blades, mallet, and other specialty putter heads. The "Backstryke" is an interesting model with four designs: Marxman, Blade, Sabertooth, and D.A.R.T. All of these putters are built to not only improve accuracy but have strategically moved weight around the putter head to help improve on poorly struck putts.

Golf Balls

Players of all levels should be able to find Callaway golf balls perfectly suited for their games. There are many different options for players looking for more feel around the greens, to gain distance off the tee, or to hit the ball higher. Currently the Tour i(s), Tour i(z), HX Diablo, and Solaire Golf ball are their best sellers.

The Tour i(s) and Tour i(z) are Callaway golf balls designed for the better player. The i(s) is a softer ball allowing for more spin and better touch around the greens. The i(z) is slightly harder leading to more distance but it will sacrifice some feel on shorter shots.

Just like the drivers and irons the Diablo golf balls are all about distance. These balls are specifically designed to add yards off the tee while not giving up too much feel around the greens. This is a great (and affordable) ball for the mid and high handicappers who need extra distance with their woods while still being able to hit great shots around the greens.

The Solaire is made for women golfers who have trouble getting the ball airborne due to a lack of clubhead speed. Their soft inner core allows for the ball to be compressed allowing for an increase in both ball speed and launch angle.

Other Equipment

Callaway not only deals in golf clubs and golf balls, they are also known for apparel, shoes, bags, and gloves. Their apparel includes shirts, pants, shorts, hats, and even rain gear. Callaway also produces nearly a dozen different shoe models with sizes for men, women, and junior golfers. Callaway can fit a player from head to toe, making them one of just a few manufacturers to carry clubs, balls, apparel, and golf accessories. With high quality products and a great presence on all major professional tours Callaway golf has firmly planted itself as one of the best golf companies in the world.
